Children’s Ministry

Welcome to Church of the Cross’ Children’s Ministry

Growing Faithful Hearts Through Joy, Laughter, and Truth

At our Anglican church, we believe children don’t just belong in the church — they are the church.

Our Children’s Ministry is a place where young hearts learn the story of God’s love in ways they can understand, remember, and carry home with them. Each week, kids hear the same biblical truths preached in the main service, thoughtfully presented at their level through Scripture, storytelling, prayer, and joyful play.

And yes… sometimes a little holy silliness too.

Meet Fatman & Blobin

Children's church is integrated with a brief visit from Fatman and Blobin, superhero puppets

Our beloved puppet duo, Fatman and Blobin, bring the sermon to life in a way only kids can appreciate. Through lighthearted humor, playful “superhero” adventures, and lots of laughs, they help break down big Bible ideas into simple, memorable truths.

They’re a little goofy.
They’re very lovable.
And they help kids actually remember what they learned.

Because when children laugh, they listen.
And when they listen, truth sticks.

What Your Child Will Experience

Each Sunday includes:

  • Age-appropriate Bible teaching
  • Anglican faith foundations and liturgical values
  • Scripture, prayer, and worship
  • Puppet skits with Fatman & Blobin
  • Safe, caring volunteers
  • A warm, welcoming environment

Our goal isn’t entertainment for its own sake — it’s formation.

We want children to:

  • Know Jesus personally
  • Understand the Bible
  • Feel safe and loved at church
  • Build lifelong faith habits
  • Grow confident in who God made them to be

For Parents

We know you’re not just looking for childcare — you’re looking for partnership.

Our ministry supports the Anglican tradition by reinforcing:

  • Biblical truth
  • Christ-centered teaching
  • Reverence and joy in worship
  • Character formation
  • Family discipleship

We want to come alongside you as you raise children who know, love, and follow Christ.
